Dr. Stephen C. Yang

Dr. Stephen C. Yang has a special interest in researching ways to screen for lung cancer and predicting recurrence of the disease. As the chief of thoracic surgery at the famed Johns Hopkins Medical Institutes, Yang uses his medical expertise to help patients worldwide.

Yang is an associate professor at Johns Hopkins medical school in Baltimore, Maryland. He specializes in surgery and oncology. He’s the surgical director of both the lung transplantation program and the thoracic oncology program. He’s also an associate director of the school’s cardiothoracic surgery residency program.

Yang is on a number of committees at the school, including medical school admissions, educational policy, postgraduate affairs and curriculum reform.
